September at EDA: Back to Dance, Back to Routine

September is here, and Season 21 is officially in full swing!
The first few months of a new dance season are always exciting. Dancers are settling into their classes, reconnecting with friends, learning new skills, and beginning choreography for the year ahead.
As we head into September, here are a few reminders—and one exciting opportunity—for our EDA families!
Labor Day – Studio Closed
Elite Dance Academy will be closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.
We hope all of our dancers and families enjoy the long weekend, get some rest, and come back ready for another great week of dance!
Spirit Week: September 14–19
Get ready to show your EDA spirit!

Spirit Week is September 14–19, and we can't wait to see everyone join in on the fun.
We'll be sharing the themes for each day, so keep an eye on studio communications and our social media pages for all the details. We love seeing our dancers get creative and bring a little extra personality into the studio during Spirit Week!
Finding the Balance Between School & Dance
September often feels like the month when everything gets real again.
School is back in full swing, homework is picking up, activities are filling the calendar, and families are settling into their new weekly routines.
For our dancers, that means learning how to balance school responsibilities with their time at the studio. It can take a few weeks to find that rhythm—and that's okay!
We encourage our dancers to stay organized, get plenty of rest, keep up with their schoolwork, and communicate when they're feeling overwhelmed. School comes first, and we want dance to remain something our students look forward to each week.
Once everyone settles into their new routine, balancing school and dance often becomes much easier.
Why Attendance Matters This Time of Year
As everyone settles into their fall routines, consistent attendance is one of the best ways dancers can continue making progress in the classroom.
Dance training builds week after week. Each class gives students the opportunity to strengthen their technique, practice skills, receive corrections, and build confidence. When dancers attend consistently, they are better able to build on what they learned the week before and see the results of their hard work over time.
We completely understand that illness, school commitments, and unexpected situations happen! Our goal is simply to encourage dancers to make their classes a priority whenever possible.
Progress doesn't happen all at once—it comes from showing up, putting in the work, and building a little more each week.
September Master Class with Madeline Bleich
We are excited to welcome Madeline Bleich to Elite Dance Academy on Sunday, September 27th for a special master class!

Bringing guest teachers into EDA gives our dancers the opportunity to experience new perspectives, hear corrections in a different way, and continue developing their technique beyond their regular weekly classes.
Madeline will be joining us to work with our dancers and challenge them to continue strengthening their technique, artistry, and confidence.
Master classes are an important part of a dancer's training. Learning from different instructors encourages dancers to become more adaptable, step outside of their comfort zones, and discover new ways of approaching their movement.
We hope our dancers will take advantage of this opportunity to learn, grow, and spend an afternoon training with Madeline!
Space is limited, so be sure to register and reserve your dancer's spot.
Keep Up the Great Work!
We're so proud of how our dancers have started Season 21 and love seeing the studio filled with energy each week.
September is about finding our rhythm, building good habits, taking advantage of new opportunities, and continuing to grow.
From Spirit Week to our first guest master class of the fall, we have a great month ahead of us.
Here's to another fantastic month of dancing at Elite Dance Academy!
