ELITE DANCE ACADEMY
Gia Waxman bring years of experience as professional dancers, teachers and choreographers with regional, national and international dance studios and performing companies. She is sharing her dance expertise with a new generation of students at the Elite Dance Academy.
Director

Moving to Arizona in 1978 from Puerto Rico, she joined the Mesa Civic Ballet and was a soloist with the Young People’s Ballet of Mesa/Tempe. She later joined Ballet Concerto of Fort Worth, TX. Back in Arizona, she was principal dancer and Ballet Mistress of the Youth Ballet of Phoenix, sponsored by the Library, Parks and Recreation of the City of Phoenix. Her first dance school was Gia’s Dance Studio in Phoenix. This grew into the Northwest Ballet and Dance Center and later developed into North Phoenix Dance School and Performing Group. Gia has also taught at various dance studios in Mesa, Tempe and Phoenix. Co-Founder of Northwest Youth Ballet.

From recreational dancers to competitive performers, our teachers are committed to helping students grow in confidence, skill, and love for the art of dance. With diverse backgrounds in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap, and more, our team ensures every dancer receives high-quality training in a supportive, creative environment.
