Sylvia Jastrezebski - Lyrical / Jazz

Sylvia was born in Poland and moved with her family to Arizona when she was eleven. A year later she started her dance training at local dance studios studying ballet, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop. When Sylvia was a teen-ager, she began training at Ballet Arizona and later danced with the Beat company, directed by Jeremy Miller. Sylvia graduated from Arizona State University with a BFA in Dance. Since then she has taught in dance studios around the Phoenix area. In the summer of 2007 she was invited to join the teaching staff of Caro Dance for their European summer Dance Camp in Siedlce, Poland. Sylvia has choreographed  for recitals, high schools, winning choreography for competitions and Caro Dance in Poland.

Renee Dixon - Tap

Renee has been in the local dance scene for over 20 years. She has studied all styles of dance but excels in tap. Training at local studios since age 3, she has had the opportunity to learn from some of LA's hottest choreographers such as: Michael Rooney, Jamie King and Henry LeTang among others. Renee attended master classes at the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, the dance education program at Arizona State University and was choreographer for the Cactus High School Flagline. She has been teaching tap for the last 9 years.

Sabrina Waxman - Jazz

Sabrina started training at age 3 with her mother, Gia Waxman and continued advanced ballet studies with her grandmother, Myrta George. Sabrina was a member of the Dance Line and Captain of the Spirit Line during her high school years. As a member of EDA Performing Group she has won High Gold awards in dance competitions.

Jarek Jastrezebski - Hip-Hop / Tumbling

Jarek started his dance traing in Poland at Caro Dance, specializing in Hip-Hop, Modern Jazz, Disco and Tumbling. He participated in many international dance competitions with Caro Dance, winning group and solo awards. He also won awards for his choreography and taught hip-hop and tumpling to younger students at Caro Dance. With a three year contract, Jarek continued his professional career touring Europe, USA and Canada with the dancers of Ich Troje, a polish pop/rock group. He says, "My English is not great but that doesn't stop me from bringing great and fun coreography to kids and teens."

 

Sara James - Jazz  (picture to come)

Sarah has been dancing for the past 15 years. She was an assistant teacher in ballet and Pre-dance and danced competively in groups and solos, being a Gold winner. She was a member of the Northern Arizona University dance team and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in phsycology. Sarah taught tap and jazz for three and is now one of our jazz teachers.

Lynda Toraya - Creative Movement / Pre-Dance I & II

Lynda started dancing at age 3. By the time whe was 7 years old, she was dancing with a Mexican folkloric dance company. She studied ballet at the Conservatory of Ballet in Phoenix. Later Lynda joined the Lydia Torea's Flamenco Dance Company and had a dance studio, 'Bodymoves Etc.' in  Phoenix.  "I love teaching the 3-5 year olds. We will have fun this year"                                          

Frank Redick - Ballroom  (picture to come)

Frank started his career in dance at age 5 taking tap and jazz classes.  At ages 6-8 he was learning Square Dance, Round Dance and Basic Ballroom. He won Ballroom awards performing in Dallas, Oklahoma City, Kansas City, Independence, Little Rock and other cities. Later he started teaching Ballroom in El Dorado, Arkansas and then entered the Fine Arts Program at Bringham Young University. At BYU he performed with the Internationa Ballroom Dance Club and the International Folk Dance Club in various campus exhibitions plus other locations in Utah and Las Vegas. Frank was president of the Square Dance Club and later came to Phoenix to work at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio. There he met his future wife and mastered Bronze Standard, Silver Standard, Gold Standard and part of Gold Bar Standard. He performed continiously for several years earning awards, ribbons and trophies. He also worked at the Fred Astaire Dance Studios for some time and taught at the Glendale Ballroom Dance Club for over 13 years.
